Classified School Employee Summer Assistance Program

Los Altos School District is participating in the Classified School Employee Summer Assistance Program (CSESAP) for the 2026-27 school year. CSESAP is a voluntary savings program for eligible classified employees that helps provide income during unpaid summer months.

  • Defer up to 10% of your paycheck in the 2026-27 school year
  • Enjoy a matching grant of funds for the deferred money you have set aside
  • Payment made in the summer of 2027

CSESAP is a state program that provides employees working 11 months or fewer with a unique opportunity to set aside up to 10% of their paycheck and have the state match those funds up to dollar for dollar.

How it works:

  • You determine your deferred contribution amount, which can be up to 10% of your gross pay
  • The sign-up period closes on March 1, 2026, final eligibility will be confirmed prior to enrollment
  • Your contributions will begin August 2026
  • Payout of your deferred funds and the matching dollars will take place in Summer 2027

How to qualify:

  • Must be a classified employee
  • Work 11 months or less, and earn $62,400 or less annually (excluding summer school pay)
  • You must be employed with LASD for at least one year at the time of enrollment
  • Any work you do outside of the school district does not affect your eligibility
