Los Altos School District is participating in the Classified School Employee Summer Assistance Program (CSESAP) for the 2026-27 school year. CSESAP is a voluntary savings program for eligible classified employees that helps provide income during unpaid summer months.
- Defer up to 10% of your paycheck in the 2026-27 school year
- Enjoy a matching grant of funds for the deferred money you have set aside
- Payment made in the summer of 2027
CSESAP is a state program that provides employees working 11 months or fewer with a unique opportunity to set aside up to 10% of their paycheck and have the state match those funds up to dollar for dollar.
How it works:
- You determine your deferred contribution amount, which can be up to 10% of your gross pay
- The sign-up period closes on March 1, 2026, final eligibility will be confirmed prior to enrollment
- Your contributions will begin August 2026
- Payout of your deferred funds and the matching dollars will take place in Summer 2027
How to qualify:
- Must be a classified employee
- Work 11 months or less, and earn $62,400 or less annually (excluding summer school pay)
- You must be employed with LASD for at least one year at the time of enrollment
- Any work you do outside of the school district does not affect your eligibility
