Intradistrict Open Enrollment
Each spring, Los Altos School District offers an Open Enrollment period for families who are interested in requesting an intradistrict transfer to another LASD school, based on space availability.
School Availability
Each year, the district identifies schools that may have space available for additional students. A list of open seats is below.

Open Enrollment Timeline
The Open Enrollment period occurs during the first 10 school days of March. To participate, families must submit this intradistrict transfer request by the end of this Open Enrollment window.
Lottery (if needed)
If a school receives more requests than available spaces, a random lottery will be held.
- Requests submitted after the Open Enrollment period will not be considered
Notification of Results
Families will receive written notification indicating whether their application has been:
- Approved
- Denied (with reasons provided)
Confirmation of Enrollment
If your transfer request is approved, you must confirm your enrollment within 10 school days to secure your spot.
