My mother said that since I was 8 I wanted to work in special education. From my undergraduate, through my Master’s degree and on to my PhD; I never looked back! Making school accessible for all students is a passion of mine. Working in LASD has given me the unique opportunity to continue my teaching time with students and be an instructional coach with teachers to help build that accessibility directly into the classrooms. The majority of my time in education has been with middle school students and I would not want it any other way! In my spare time I like to hang out with my husband, watch my two teenage children play the sports they love, and take time to read a good book.
