Hello! I am very excited to join the Blach community this year. I have spent the last four years teaching 8th-grade English in Seattle Public Schools. Before teaching in Seattle, I attended Boston University where I majored in Journalism and received my Master’s Degree in Teaching. I am passionate about implementing technology in the classroom and finding ways to innovate instruction. I believe that students should always be learning from one another, not just from the teacher. Student-centered projects and continuous collaboration are a staple in my classroom. I have a deep-rooted love for writing and storytelling and look forward to sharing that interest with our students. Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time with my one-year-old chocolate lab, traveling to new places, and exploring different restaurants.
