I’m excited to be a STEM IST, focusing on computer science and STEM education for K-5 students. I started my career in 2011 as an 8th grade science teacher at Blach until 2018-19, where I transitioned to a role as a STEM Instructional Support teacher at Almond. In my time as an educator, I’ve devoted much of my passion and energy around developing students’ sense of curiosity and creativity, and finding meaningful and rigorous ways for all students to engage in Science and STEM. As a member of LATA’s exec board for the past 3 years, I’ve collaborated with members of the Los Altos community with the goal of making LASD the best environment for students to learn and for teachers to work. In my downtime, I love to continue learning by picking up all sorts of hobbies and skills, including basketball, cooking, motorcycling, and most recently, archery.
